Description
1993 BMW 325i (E36)
Smart and rare to see
earlier pre-facelift manual transmission 325i Saloon showing just 30,303 miles
by its four owners
Dating from October 1993
this earlier E36 generation 3-series comes to us in desirable 325i saloon guise
and is finished in appealing Granite Silver Metallic and rides on its original
15" multi-hole alloy wheels.
Inside, we find
light grey cloth interior with manual seat adjustment. An online chassis de-coder reveals the
spec of this nice car to include lift-up and slide back electric sunroof (S401),
electric front and rear windows (S411), emergency warning triangle (S428),
height adjustment for the front seats (S451), central rear armrest (S497),
manually adjustable rear head rests (S498), headlight washer (S500) and on-board
computer (S554), heated door mirror and driver lock (S314) and leather Sports
steering wheel II (S218) and more modern, retro-fit Pioneer radio/CD
player.
Under the bonnet, we find the popular
and sonorous 2.5-litre M50B25TU series six-cylinder petrol engine developing
189bhp and 245nm of torque driving the rear wheels via five-speed manual
transmission thus making for a proper ‘driver’s car’.
Showing just 30,303 miles the car has clearly seen only limited use
and presents well with but a few marks commensurate with its age to the bumper
corners and some of the usual bagging to the cloth door cards and localised
areas of the head-lining as with most original E36s of this
period.
The history file includes the V5C
showing just three previous owners to the current of nine years with
all owners reputedly of the same family in Cardiff area, four old MOTs, a
historic service invoice dated May 1996 at 6,062 miles from BMW Wyndham, bill
for replacement OSF window regulator in August 2021, invoice for major service
dated June 2021 at 29,824 miles including new alternator and tyres costing £565.
The current MOT is valid until June 2022 recording five minor advisories
(check online by entering the reg at
check-mot.service.gov.uk).
A tidy, low owner,
low mileage E36 with the desirable 189Bhp M50 six-pot engine and manual
transmission – a retro BMW absolutely worthy of a good
look.
Buyers please note, the car shows on the Experian data report
as stolen in April 2016 which has been investigated through both Experian
and Aviva the insurer at the time who have declared this to be invalid. The
marker is due to be removed and we have had confirmation as
such.
Documents: V5C; invoices; 4 old MOTs; current MOT June 2022
with 5 advisories
