1957 Land Rover S1 88"

Believed to ex-RAF: Transit powered; rough and ready but loads of potential and goes like a rocket

Dating from 1957, this quirky Land Rover has been in the ownership of a prominent Harley Street dentist since 2006 and enjoyed with the top on and off throughout the years.

There are sufficient bills on file to show someone has loved it and although there are things to improve, it has been running and driving and could be improved with relative ease.

Rumour has it that is is ex-RAF Hullavington where it was a fire tender - hence the red paint.

It has a charm of its own and the late vendor's brother tells us that the steering has been overhauled, along with the diesel pump and gearbox which was the last thing his brother did on the car.

It comes with a current V5C, Haynes manual and looks like a huge amount of laughs....

Bidders are advised that we have had it running and driving, but the starter wiring needs a bit of TLC and it is currently sulking...
