Description
Factory County TD5 with nice add-ons showing just 86,064 miles;
central cubby box; electric windows; tow bar - useful bit of
kit
Supplied new by Hartwell Land Rover of Oxford
in July 2003 this face-lifted (MY2002+) Land Rover Defender 90 County Station
Wagon is finished in Blue and sits on its original 16” alloy wheels and wears
some typical retrofit extras such as sump guard, wing top checker plate and
headlamp dress kit etc.
Under the bonnet, we
find the 2.5 litre TD5 turbo diesel five-cylinder engine which put out 122bhp
when new driving all four wheels in the usual manner via five-speed manual
transmission.
Inside the face-lifted cabin we
find the later style dash with electric windows, grey cloth seats, heated rear
screen with wiper plus retro fit pitch and roll gauges.
The truck shows 86,064 miles, comparatively low for a Defender of
this era. The history file includes the V5C recording just four former keepers
to our lady owner who has enjoyed the 90 for the past 13 years along with the
owner’s pack, manuals and service book revealing eight old stamps, the last in
February 2012 at 61,779 miles.
The current MOT
is valid until March 2024 and records eight minor advisories which might give
the new owner some light occupation along with addressing the paint to the roof
and other localised repairs perhaps required around the truck (see
images).
