Supplied new by Evans Halshaw Ltd of Aldridge, West Midlands in April 1992 this late model Series 2 (S2) 944 Cabriolet is finished in Gaurds Red with contrasting black Mohair soft-top and sits on its original 16” Design 90 alloy wheels.

Under the bonnet, we find the 16-valve 3.0 litre M44/41 dual-overhead cam four-cylinder engine which developed 208bhp when new driving the rear wheels here via five-speed manual transmission.

Inside the cabin, we find grey leather interior with four-way electrically adjustable seats, grey carpets and dash, electric windows, electric Mohair hood with plastic rear screen, electric mirrors, front fog lights, digital clock and original Blaupunkt symphony radio/cassette player with desirable Blaupunkt BEA80 amplifier/equalizer which also looks super cool and retro.

This extremely smart example comes to us from 18 year ownership, with the former keeper also a long term owner (1994-2006) and shows just 62,210 miles which is reflected in how well the car presents.

The history file includes the V5C recording just two former keepers, two old style V5’s, the owner’s pack with service book which shows 14 service stamps plus one hand written entry, three stamps for brake fluid changes, two stamps for cambelt checks and seven stamps for long life condition report checks.  The last stamped service was in 2011 at 59,588 miles by The Porscheshop of Halesowen.

In addition, the file also includes at least 24 old MOTs, the current MOT valid until July 2024 which recorded no advisories (and also shows the car has covered just c.700 miles in the last five years) plus a few maintenance and parts invoices including a cambelt change in 2014.
