Ready to go 750MC Sporting Trials Car; recent full service; great fun
for those on a budget
This well-sorted Alp trials car was built
to 750 Motor Club Trials Championship spec and has clearly been carefully put
together. The chassis is made of aluminium and nicely made, with the minimal
paneling also made in aluminium for light weight.
The engine is from a
Triumph Acclaim (effectively a Honda Civic) with 1,335cc and in this case,
fitted with twin-Kehlin Carburettors which have been recently stripped and
cleaned. Given the car is designed to travel at ultra low speeds, an electric
fan has been fitted along with an alternator and new rear springs.
A
small Suzuki diff unit with roller bearings has been fitted as per Competition
requirements and the suspension on the simple A-frame chassis has had new bushes
fitted.
The vendor reports that it has disc brakes front and rear, with
refurbished calipers and that the fiddle brakes work well - there's lots to
learn to drive one of these competitively.
It has recently had a full
service, with fresh oil, filter, water with Antifreeze, brake fluid, plugs and
leads and has been running and driving around onsite.
The vendor says
that although serviceable, it will need some new rubber to become competitive
and comes with no paperwork.
If you fancy something a bit different or a
new hobby - the clubs that run these trials are very friendly and offer a huge
amount of fun for very little outlay.
