Description
BMW's spectacular LWB flagship car of the late 90s with 5.4 V12 and
all the toys available at the time showing 90,393 miles
Supplied new by Thorne BMW in June 2001, this late model E38
generation of BMW’s flagship 7-Series comes to us in top spec 750IL guise and is
finished in Titanium Silver with rear privacy glass and sits on its wonderful
17” M-Parallel alloy wheels.
Under the bonnet
we find the 5.4-litre M73B54 V12 petrol engine (as also used in the Rolls-Royce
Silver Seraph) which develops a mighty 322bhp and 490NM of torque driving the
rear wheels of course via five speed automatic/Tiptronic transmission with Sport
mode.
Inside this well-appointed, long-wheel
base example we find acres of black leather with electric front seats with
three-position driver memory, electric rear back rest and lumbar adjustment (the
base is fixed), rear ventilation, walnut trim, electric windows, electric
mirrors, cruise control, multi-function steering wheel, heated front seats,
parking sensors (PDC), electronically controlled dampers (EDC), rear blind,
traction control, digital climate control with AC, narrow screen in-car
entertainment with CD changer, TM function, electrically adjustable steering
column, double glazing, rear seat heating and glass sunroof.
The car shows 90,393 miles and looks to present well with a
comfortable and spacious interior and potent, extremely quiet power
plant.
The history file includes the V5C
showing six former keepers to the current of six years, the service book
recording 12 stamps, the last in October 2022 at 90,190 miles by MB Autoworks,
seven old Mots, the current Mot valid until November 2023 which showed no
advisories and accompanying file of bills for parts and maintenance works
undertaken over the years.
A smart example of a
once very expensive top of the range car on offer at a fraction of its original
purchase price. A win we think!
