Description
Stacks of history; new brightwork; nice example
Registered
in February 1966 and showing 97,270 miles, this tidy Morris Minor has had a
fair share of love and money thrown its way over the span of its lifetime.
Coming with an impressive stack of history and invoices, this isn’t one to pass
up.
Sitting on a set of 14” Minilite alloy wheels and covered in a well
finished gloss red, it’s the 'minor' details that really make the difference
with this car. With countless invoices from ESM Morris Minors, we can see that
all new chrome has been fitted from the bumpers to the window runners down to
the headlight surrounds. Other invoices from ESM include a new radiator in 2019,
new front and rear wings in December 2016 along with new headlining, pedal
rubbers and much much else besides.
A new lead-free head was
fitted by Charles Ware Morris Minor Centre with new valves in March 2021.
Further invoices show a brake servo kit was fitted in April 2015, and that a
thorough going through was undertaken in January 2016 by Classic Motors, Morris
Minor Southwest, who fitted a new steering rack, rear shock absorbers, and gave
the car a full brake system overhaul with new brake lines and master
cylinder.
Along with the new headlining the interior looks very nice,
obviously having the seats re-covered at some point in the past, the dash looks
to be in lovely nick. On the outside this Morris Minor looks to be in nice
overall condition, but like any car of this age there a few marks and rust spots
starting to come through (see photos).
In conclusion this looks to be a
very honest car that’s has clearly been well maintained both mechanically and
cosmetically with thousands spent in just the last few years.
Cheap
classic motoring in its most simple form.
