Description
Beautiful example from
pampered 21-year ownership; believed only 27k miles from new; driven to the
sale; find a better one!
First registered in December
1965 and five owners since, the current for 21 years.
Coming with a well
organised and detailed history file, the Heritage Certificate shows that
this gorgeous Triumph is presenting as it left the factory with Royal Blue
paintwork, Midnight Blue interior trim and optioned with overdrive, a heater and
13-inch wheels.
A note on file suggests that
the odometer was changed in the early 1970s when it was on 12,000 miles, the
odometer presently reading 15,284 miles suggesting this Triumph has covered only
27,200 miles in its 59 years of life.
The history file includes
previous MOTs, older invoices for parts and servicing, spare parts catalogue,
workshop manuals, and a few photographs. There is not much in the way of
invoices from our vendor's ownership as he tells us he has covered just 1,000
miles in 21 years, with regular servicing.
In summary, this is clearly a
cherished car that has won trophies in the past - possibly the nicest Triumph
2000 we have seen. The interior is in time warp condition and the bodywork has
aged wonderfully well. Driven some 20 miles to the sale, it has been
starting on the button and driving around our site very nicely. If you’re in the
market for a beautiful useable classic then look no
further!
