Description
1937 Morris 8 Tourer
Often seen at shows over
the year; sweet little runabout
Registered to our
vendor since 2003 after being registered with DAL 611 in
1999.
The V5C declares it as having been
manufactured in 1937, which is consistent with the chassis number. The vehicle
is also recorded on the online Morris register database.
Beautifully presented two door tourer which has obviously very well
cared for over the years.
The file of paperwork
records many events that it has attended but few invoices for work
done.
It is clear that the car has been heavily
restored at one point and although this is not recorded, our vendor believes
that a previous owner bought the car in the 80’/90s as a rather derelict project
and had the ash frame restored, the wings replaced, the engine renewed and
obviously the entire interior and hood replaced.
Regularly used, the vendor informs us that even in the winter while
being stored in his garage, he would regularly visit DAL 611 and check over the
brakes and clutch so it would be ready for the next outing in the
Spring.
Most recently in 2019, it has been
fitted with a new 6 volt battery.
