Description
Fresh from a body-off restoration; rebuilt engine, suspension etc; US
model with RHD conversion; ready to be run-in and enjoyed; on offer at no
reserve
Dating from January 1971 this smart white
TR6 was originally a US market car that’s been brought back to the UK, converted
to RHD, fully restored and registered in August 2022.
Our vendor, a retired engineer and restoration specialist, occupies
his retirement restoring a couple of cars a year to a high standard, carrying
out all the work himself in his workshop at home.
The car was stripped back to a bare chassis, anything that
needed it was repaired or replaced, the engine was stripped and
rebuilt (buyers, please note the oil will need changing within 100 miles, its
got running-in oil in at present).
The car was
then re-finished in Old English White, the hood refitted, new wheels, brakes,
suspension and exhaust etc. As you’ll see from the underside images, the
whole car looks good.
Inside, the vendor was let
down by the seat suppliers who sent the wrong seats and then had stock supply
problems so this is a job the new owner will need to tackle but it does come
with the seats pictured.
Starting promptly and
running well on site, the car looks super and represents a great opportunity to
acquire a well-restored car with but a few bits to do to complete the
package.
The history file includes the V5C
showing one UK owner (our vendor), photos of the restoration works and bills for
parts purchased.
A cracker with lots to
offer.
